Duplex filter are excellent for applications where pipe lines cannot be shut down for cleaning the filter basket. Duplex filters manufactured and designed by Combustion Research Associates can operate continuously and never have to be shut down for cleaning. They have two simplex filters connected by a way of a common flow diverter. When one filter gets clogged, the flow can be diverted through another filter.
